Hi Volkan,
I installed with QGIS-OSGeo4W-1.5.0-14109-Setup and it seems that
pywin32 is missing or could not see the python module even paths are
defined. qgis140 has no problem with pywin32.
if it is not missing, my path definitions are wrong, since could not
import the module. tried
Hi list,
I recently did an update from Ubuntu 9.10 to 10.04. After compling Qgis (which
works fine, no errors where found), it now says that Qgis could not load pyQgis
because of:
Couldn't load PyQGIS.

Hi everyone.
For those interested, the AutoGCP C++ library and python plugin are now
available for trying out.
These allow for the automated detection and cross-referencing of Ground
Control Points between reference and raw images.
The library is distributed as a patch for inclusion into
SIP module implements API v7.0 but the qgis.core module requires API v7.1
You have get SIP module version 7.1 as PyGIS qgis.core module requires API v7.1

Okay, thanks.
But where or how to get/update it? Which package is the SIP API in?
If searching in synaptic for 'sip', I find the following packages installed:
sip4, python-sip, python-sip-dev, python-sip-dbg,python-sip4-dev,python-sip4-dbg
All of them are version 4.10.1-0ubuntu1

Cédric
Yes, they are all SIP4 for PyQt4 and Qt4.
Just installed python-sip and see what happen. I think it might need
sip4 as well.

Is it possible in QGIS 1.5 to save a combination of vector and raster layers to
a kind of 'layer file', in order to be able to load this combination of layers
into a new project (saving also the previously defined symbology and labeling,
...)?
I give an example of a combination of vector and
Cedric,
Look into the archive, a similar problem was raised here a few months ago.
AFAIR it was because cmake was comparing the sip versions as strings, so your
4.10.1 4.7.1. It was fixed on the compiling stage, but seems you get it
a step farther.

Hi Jürgen
I install with a prefix: /usr/local/qgis. In this prefix there are no old
qgis-libs. I found some old qgis-libs in /usr/local/lib and /usr/lib from a
former install out of a package and removed them now, but no effect :-(
About the nightly builds: do you mean to update the sip stuff

Hi Jürgen
Did you rebuild after removing?
Yes, I did a make clean and then a new build.
No, I meant installing qgis from nightly builds. That might give some further
insight.
I install from trunk, my current revision is 14202.

Borys,
are you refering to
https://trac.osgeo.org/qgis/ticket/2446
?
If I test for my sip version it's indeed #040a00.
On the other hand, I don't have a compile problem but a runtime problem.

Hi all,
using qgis 1.5 on ubuntu, qgis segfaults on creating a interpolated
raster from vectors points and TIN option (not IDW).
Do we have to have a particular library beside qgis or is it a know bug?
Thanks

Hi Els,
in addtion of the answers others gave earlier.
there is a python plugin called 'MultiQml', with which you can tell QGIS
to use one qml/style file for several different layers. This works if
you have a lot of layers which use the exact same symbology: you can
style them in one go.
Hi,
I am also having difficulties with qgis 1.5 in xp 64. sorry for not
helping.
I found a collegue with a xp 64 bit machine and I'm having an hard time:
the osgeo4w installer, when a package is choosen, does not mark for
installation its dependencies. I tried to select pretty much what is
I installed ubuntu 10.04 to setup similar environment to replicate the

Perhaps in your windows-xp qgis (or the python) was installed in the
wrong directory (64 bit).
I cannot tell for sure now, as actually it seems that also under xp
32bit the last osgeo4w installer has problems.
I made a XP 32bit fresh install moments ago and with both osgeo4w and
