Ramon,
Thanks for the link. GeoSetter looks very promising not oinly for
QGIS but for other photo geotagging purpose.

Hi Jim,
you can connect to an Access database (or other database too) with the
eVis-plugin, and display XY-data as an vector layer.

Hi everyone. Hope all is well.
Im doing a project in QGIS and was wondering if there is a function that is
equivalent to ArcGIS 'multiple ring buffer'. I want to create a multiple
ring buffer consisting of 10 intervals. Also when I got to the buffer tool
in QGIS 'segments to approximate' is set to
Thanks, now even more looking forward to see the presentations!

Hi Bernhard, I just wrote a patch for trunk to make this functionality
available to python. it has not been applied yet [1] but it probably
will soon.
after that, you need to do the following (please note that nesting as
well as deleting nested groups is only supported at top level groups for
now):
Thanks Frank and Asmus for the tips! I got it working no problem.

Hi Marco,
thank you for your answer. Your code is exactly how I expected the
addGroup slot should work. I will check in the next couple of days if
the patch has been applied.
thanks again

Say I have classified polygons based on a column in the .dbf, but there are
just too many values in that classification thereby producing 100 different
symbols/colours for one shapefile. How can I group some of those values to
be represented by the same colour/symbol? I can select several values in

Hi all,
I initially checked in QGIS webclient. You can find the source at
http://svn.osgeo.org/qgis/trunk/qgiswebclient/
I have to apologize upfront that I am at holidays until May 3. Until
then I cannot answer questions regarding the web client. Pirmin Kalberer
knows a bit about the client.
Thanks for the suggestion, but The values I want to group are not integers,
they are text. Symbols I want to group do not necessary sort after each
other (I.e. Granite comes after gabbro, but i would certainly not want to
group them together in a graduated interval). I need to be able to manually
