Hi Ara,
We would need to know a few more details:
* Did you use the old or the new labeling? The one in the layer
properties tab (the old) or the one with the "ABC" button in the
labeling toolbar with a separate dialogue (the new)?
* Are you able to use the same QGIS project on a different mac

days. Thanks to all for the help!
Right now I am trying to turn on my data labels for a set of survey stations on

Hi,
You need an ETL like Talend Open Studio with spatial extension for this or
create some python script inside QGIS.
see http://www.talendforge.org/wiki/doku.php?id=sdi:MainPage for more
information about SDI.

Dear Peter,
Qgis' GPS plug-in uses GPSBabel. GPSBabel supports hundreds of GPS
formats (see http://www.gpsbabel.org/capabilities.html), but I can't find
Turbo GPS on the list, there is only one xml releated to PocketFMS.
It is written on the turbo GPS homepage, it supports export/import of KMZ
I did this successfully again today on a fresh install. For ECW the
following method has worked for me:
1. open terminal
2.
sudo wget
http://de-mirror.org/distro/gentoo/distfiles/libecwj2-3.3-2006-09-06.zip
3.
unzip libecwj2-3.3-2006-09-06.zip
Hi Micha,
thanks for the tip! I managed to do it with the following command from
FWTools shell:
ogr2ogr -update -append -f "PostgreSQL" PG:"host=localhost user=postgres
dbname=db password=xxx"
my_gps_points.gpx waypoints -sql "SELECT name AS gps_nimi, time AS gps_aika
FROM waypoints" -t_srs EPSG:
you need the SDKs from erdas and lizardtech

you cannot use the last erdas SDK, you need to use the one before it
because the gdal-ecw package in osgeo4w was not yet updated to handle
correctly the last version of the Erdas dlls.

Hi list,
I'm trying to open ECW files in version 1.7 on Windows, but it doesn't
work (QGIS crashes)... It worked well with 1.6. I've tried this method,
with no success :

Hello Noli,
Turbo GPS
http://www.turboirc.com/tgps/
Looks like this:
"

"
Is it a special format in TGPS? I can convert it to gpx/kml within the
program, I was just wondering if it's possible with QGIS.
Thanks for your help!

Hello list,
Let's say I have a bunch of waypoints collected with a GPS device, and

Then I have an empty template shapefile, which has more fields
