Thanks Giovanni for your tests. On my side, I have the same configuration
as you, but QGIS crashes with ECW... I have converted my files with gdal
to TIF with jpeg compression and tiles, and it work well and fast.

Common problem with this kinf of formats, they updated the SDK and the
old version is no more

This is not possible currently. QGIS only supports the Simple Features
Geometry.
The CAD tools plugin can help to draw arcs, but since QGIS cannot store
