Hi, fwiw after automatic upgrade to qgis 1.7.2 on an install based on the osgeo LiveDVD 5.0 (natty) I was getting some segfaults when launching the manageR plugin. removing ~/.qgis/ and ~/.config/QuantumGIS/ and restarting (twice!) it started working again. I didn't have to uninstall anything,
