[Qgis-user] ECW rasters show up as black squares

Anybody got a clue on whats going on - when I open certain ECW rasters, they are just shown as black squares in Qgis 1.8 (Win 7, 64 bit). I can see them with no problem in other software and other ECW's work well in Qgis 1.8. Feel free to try with this raster - can you see it in Qgis? https://dl.

OK - I found the reason myself: If the ecw is in a folder with national characters in the folder name, it will show up black! Otherwise it will show up as it should! This was not the case with earlier versions of Qgis. Is it a bug in Qgis or GDAL? - Regards Morten Qgis 1.8.0 Stand alo
