This function is available through the layer properties in the fields tab.
Use the drop-down menu and

Hi all,
using the Identify results tool in a polygon layer, qgis display "Area" and
"feature id" in the "derived" section.
I'm working with SR EPSG 3003 and I see that the Area value is expressend
in ha with 3 decimal sigits when is more than 1 ha, otherwise is expressed
in square meters
