i do not pay for qgis (ok, i do donate as often as i can), but i really
wasted hours and days tracking these issues and destroyed some projects

I don't have an answer, but I have seen similar things if I've been editing the
strings and then go into the attribute table without saving first.
Is it possible to post a bit of your shape file somewhere for those that know
what they're doing to look at? This may help.

How many people are using the pymorph algorithms in SEXTANTE? The

when using SQL-like syntax - where commas are used to separate column
names, or when publishing the layers with QGIS server). You really
should avoid using them.

sorry for the delay... I have just uploaded version 0.5.0
(profiletool) which fixes this issue, as well as 1.9 compatibility and
other UI fixes.
You need to enable Experimental plugins to get this new version -
please test it and give me your feedback.
