Not sure if this is what you mean but... I would try it like this.
create a copy of the layer, classify the roads in the copied layer
using the same rules, but use the marker line option with an svg
marker and a large (depending on scale say ~150) marker spacing. This
marker layer then sits on top
the issue is the open layer plugin, when you import a google layer the EPSG
changes to 3857
and the measure of the distance are distorced, so the scale in the print
composer is also distorced.

Hi Aren,
It is in the Layer properties of a raster layer in the style tab.
See http://www.carto.net/neumann/temp/resampling_settings.png
section resampling.
Hope this helps,

liblas can be compiled with gdal support, then use las2ogr to convert the
las to a QGIS-supported vector format.

Hi all,
I've seen that the scale on print composer is wrong, there are about 500 m
of difference from the real distance.
Have you seen this difference?

I have 10 .dxf files I would like to merge. Is there a way of doing
this in qGIS? I would then like to use the merged file for hillshading
as I don't seem to be able to find an appropriate raster source. (New
to GIS and indeed QGIS).

Hi
I normally also delete the qgis entries in the registry. These are located at
H_Key_current_user/software/qgis. If you are not familiar on how to do this,
all you need to do is run regedit (in vista and win7 as an administrator),
locate the mentioned key, select it and delete it
Hope it help
Maybe I found the trouble...
In
https://github.com/qgis/Quantum-GIS/edit/master/python/plugins/GdalTools/tools/dialogSRS.pyat
line 48
return str(self.selector.selectedAuthId())
there are double brackets. Is it possible??

I had a working Master on Ubuntu 12.04 until Sunday, when I tried to update
using the package manager. The update failed with the same problem that you
have.

But that structure is too complicated as soon as the project is minimally large.

I don't resolved the problem but it seems that there are some trouble with

Hi,
Maybe is only question of an extra shp in the name, see below, but when I
obtain a new vector with sextante, qgis either claims that the file can't be
found or when the layer is loaded to the TOC, there is no visible result.
In both instances if I Load the result again things work as expected

Hi!
A project that used to work fine few days ago cannot be opened
any more with qgis 1.8: the program crashes before even starting to
write the TOC . I've tried with qgis --noplugin and get the same problem,
so this is not an issue of plugin conflicts. T
