Confirmed here too. Current nightly Master, Ubuntu 12.04.
Just the fields visible on the screen are filled, the rest are filled with
NULLs. I think I've seen this reported already, somewhere.

Hi all,
I have a point shape and I want to add 2 columns, lat and long.
I open the attribute table and the field calculator, then I create a new
field (x) with the option of geometry -> $x.
Same for y.
The problem is that the new field involves just a few records, for the
others the value is NULL.
