I would like to get my hands on Raster data at high resolution large scale
raster data for natural resources and climate (see subject). I'd prefer
the world scale but would accept regional data sets. My group of organisms

in arcmap I can setup ddp (data driven pages).
Run a tool to split my alignment by a given length, and then tell ddp
to create a sheet for each segment. Which is ok until your segments go
from north-south to east-west orientation (makes you decide whether to
rotate the page or not or make a square

I understand, a very common problem.

Hi,
@Richard: Well, I did not dig into python API. In fact I was not really
aware of it. Producing 250 maps would have me looking into it for sure!
@Brad:
I intented to skip steps 1-3 by using the composer extents ;-)
Overall; the "tricksy" part was to get a nice rectangular shape for which I

to shorten the process(and make the system a bit more uniform).
What I do is
1. decide on the paper size I want,
2. create a shapefile with that size polygon,
3. scale, rotate and move that polygon up to world coordintates,
4. copy that polygon and move each one along alignment.
5. Edit the page in

Puuh, not that complicated but not that straightforward also.
Would I do it for 250 maps?
Hi Johannes,
as Nathan told you, there should be an easier way to do this via the
python api.
For example it should be able to creat

Hi all,
just for the records:
To get the bounding boxes of my 25 individually composed maps

It's more or less described in the documentation, but I am preparing
an example for the blog. It is based on an algorithm that runs an SQL
query to simplify geometries in a PostGIS database, and another one
that later uses that simplified data (that is, it has to be run
afterwards)
Let's see if I

What happens exactly? they do not load? they raise an exception?
The format of the models has changed recently, to add dependencies
between algorithms without being a direct link between outputs and
inputs (so an algorithm can wait untl another has finished). That

I did those two simple models a while ago, now they seem not to be working
correctly. I am using QGIS 1.9.0 on Ubuntu 12.04. Every time the same error
appears. This has been checked independently on the other computer, with
another data - result was the same.
