Hello Sarah, I believe its a Coordinate System Problem. You data is probably in a Geographic CRS (Lat Long). That means that using field calculator the measuring are being made in Degree instead of meters. Best way to do what you need is to reproject your data in some Projected CRS (choose a

Hi, Could someone help me whatever happened to the GRASS plugin in my QGIS 1.8.0   The GRASS tools are not shown anymore. It's not in the QGIS Plugin Manager nor listed inside the Plugins Menu Bar.  I normally see them when I open QGIS.  It looks it's in the SEXTANTE options window tho. Thanks
