The problem is caused by that \r at the end of the string. That was fixed long ago. Which version are you using? have you updated it in the plugin manager? Enable the "see experimental plugins" option and you should be able to get a version with that bug fixed 2014-02-03 Juan Miguel Requena : > H

[Qgis-user] Saving GPX as SHP looses the time part of the (date)time field

2014-02-03 Thread Alexandre Neto
I got into this problem early today. Trying to save a GPX as SHP I loose the time part of the time Field, and only the date is saved as a string. Instead of getting a string like this: "2013-11-21T10:00:25" all I get is "2013-11-21". I suspected that this had something to do with GDAL\OGR, and I

[Qgis-user] Print Composer: Legend: Auto Update

Also, in QuantumGis 1.8 / Grass, I've noticed that some raster functions (ex: *r.surf.contour)* crash if the resulting raster is a big one (in terms of pixel size vs ROI); I remember the threshold for crashing was something like 1.ooox1.ooo lines. Best Regards Pedro Monteiro 2014-02

OK, I installed the Open Layers plugin and it works very nice but it won't do what I need, so let me be more specific and see if there might be a remedy. The contour lines that I want were actually obtained using a hand held Garman GPS. The Garman data was overlaid on the Google map, (with wa

As mentioned before you'll need to use the Georegistration tool to generate spatial info for your jpeg. Once thats done it will line up with other data and you can digitize new layers on top. If you still have the Garmin data that might help with all of the steps. Enjoy, Alex On 02/03/2014 04:59

Mike, Here is a good tutorial overview of the georeferencing tool in QGIS: http://qgis.spatialthoughts.com/2012/02/tutorial-georeferencing-topo-sheets.html If the image is not in coordinate space, it will not line up with your other data. so this operation will be necessary. Also, just as a si

My apologies. I sent an older link to the georeferencer, but a link to a newer version is at the top of that page. I should also mention that this is now part of the core product in 2.0, so no need to download a plugin. From: jwood...@gmail.com To: tmike.el...@comcast.net CC: qgis-user@lists.osg
