Hi -thanks so much for the ideas.
The save worked...but apparently whatever error I caused to a couple of the
polygons means they can't now be split, merged, etc...will just send the file
to a friend to help repair. I'm still a hack / newbie w/ QGIS and I was only
entering attribute data so
