Hi,
i used srtm_52_06 to obtain aspect and slope. Aspect in one sense seems
fine but slope is not undestandable in terms of figures, i chose slope in
percent but it gives me figures ranging from 0 to 1.15778e+07. How to
convert it into percentage or what would be the stepwise process i.e. using
Hi!
I has started to use QGis 2.2 Valmiera. The O.S. of my computer is Windows
Vista Home Premium 32 bits. I has downloaded QGis of official website
www.qgis.org. I has used the QGis Standalone Installer version 2.2 (32 bit).
The errors are that the tool does not come sexante built and I can

No, this is not a bug, this is like that by design. The modeler uses
layers that might not be loaded onto QGIS (all intermediate layers),

I just want to 'crop' only one attribute column. I'm figuring out there's no

Thanks./
Hi,
you also can use the function Vector Data Management Tools Join
attributes by location but as Intersection you'll get all attribute and have

YEs, you have to create a new layer that can be pass to the next
algorithm in the modeler. It's not ideal, but there is no other way to
o it, since selection is not something that can be stored in the
layer, it is a QGIS thing, and as such cannot be used with layers not

Can anyone tell me how I would create a polygon type .shp layer/file
from a metes and bounds property legal description? I see special tools
for the ArcGis program. Is there anything in Qgis that will do the job?

I imagine you are talking about COGO tools, try the following plugin
http://plugins.qgis.org/plugins/CadInput/ although I think you would need to
convert to azimuths to be able to use it

Use the OSGEO4W 32 bit install, much easier to use in my opinion than the

Right. The myth of DPI is the problem. So what I need is to simply save the
image exactly as it was but with the vector information overlaid - no
compression, no resampling, no resizing.

Yep DPI is pretty much a printer (or screen) issue... so you want to have
an image of high res that prints at that resolution - DPI will vary depending
on page (screen) size pixel size as well as image resolution... so just
deal with the image, retain the high resolution print it as
Keep in mind that you need to have a license to write to sid files. If you
only have the license to read sids, when you partition your existing 4GB
sid, the output will most likely be geotiff which isn't as compressed as
sid so the overall file size may be larger.
