Hello every body, I am trying to improve the quality of a 90 km2 DEM. I have shapefiles for the 10 meters contour lines and the complete stream network, but for the streams Z is not available. Is there available any tool to extract the vertices of the streams segments, to use Z data

[Qgis-user] Geoserver WFS update request error

I posted the following on the geoserver mailing list but nobody replied. I have a problem when I try to update a multilinestring geometry. I had the same issue in the past, I thought I had solved it but now it is back again. :-( Setup: geoserver 2.7.1 and a test layer connected to a postgis

Dear list, on kubuntu 14.04 LTS (running in Virtual Box on Windows 7) QGIS 2.8.1 launch aborts with core dumped. So far I purged qgis, removed all qgis plugins re installed using repository http://ppa.launchpad.net/ubuntugis/ubuntugis-unstable/ubuntu/ but without any success on another machine

Hi, Not an easy question... Tools you can use: Vector/geometry tools/densify geometry: that can add extra vertex to the lines so you get more points in the next step. Vector/geometry tools/extract nodes with give you points. You can get info from one layer to another using the point sampling

Hi Bernd, Indeed, that was the problem. Running SELECT setval('a_streets_streetsid_seq', COALESCE((SELECT MAX(streetsid)+1 FROM a_streets), 1), false); solved the issue. Still not sure what caused this in the first place, but have added your trigger to the table for the future.
