Does anybody know if it is possible to extract the contour lines (say as
a shapefile) from a windowed portion of ESRI Topo (as available on
QuickMapServices)? I'm working on an minerals exploration project with
very limited topo coverage, and would far prefer to use the ESRI contours.

On Windows - If they double left click on the white bar at the top of the QGIS
window it should ‘fill the screen’ and they can see the bottom status bar.
