Hi Nyall, I think, the problem with the native raster calculator in my case have something to do with the zoo of raster formats. My 1m-DEM was float, while the reclassified layer (0 or 1) was integer. The GDAL-calculator seems to be agnostic to that. Thanks a lot for your support Bernd Am
