Hi, The problem with “scale” is actually a problem selecting the proper CRS for one of the layers. For example, if you CRS is in longitude-latitude, then coordinates in degrees could look like 55.12345, -25.12345. If you select a projected CRS for this layer, then degrees will be interpreted

Hi Simon and Nicolas, Yes, that was our idea, too - to merge two or more lines that share their start/end vertices. But unfortunately, this doesn't work for us, because we edit in a very complex data model and QGIS doesn't preserve feature Ids when merging features --> all of our DB relation
