The easier approach might be to setup a conda
environment that includes pdal and qgis. When you activate that
environment you should have the pdal CLI, the python bindings
and qgis with pdal available.

Again thanks for your efforts. I'm sure we'll land
on the source of the prob, and find a solution. As I said, I
don't think this is a QGIS issue. The underlying bidi library
should handle this, AFAIK.

Hi Nyall:
Thanks for following up on this.
The few details (that are mentioned in the issue
tracker) that might help track down the root of the problem:
1- There was no issue up to 3.28. The reports
appeared only on 3.30 and above.

Yes, Orfeo has some strange, convoluted names. You
probably have heard the quote:
‘There are only two hard things in Computer Science: cache
invalidation and naming things.’

In the past I've used the pan sharpening function
in Orfeo Toolbox on WorldView 3 imagery. I chose the "bayes"
method, not Gram-Schmidt that you want. Orfeo implements three
sharpening algorithms:

I recall
that on a networked Windows machine it helped tremendously to
"Hide from Browser" all those network shares that are not
relevant to QGIS. There's a "Hide" option when you "right

I think you made the right decision. Compiling
gdal means recompiling most of the spatial applications on your
computer. That's is a very deep rabbit hole that you want to
avoid if possible.

You
don't necessarily need the Processing Toolbox. You can run the

I think that the processing toolbox does not
automatically create a new algorithm for GRASS modules added to
GRASS.
May I ask why not to run r.stream.order from GRASS
directly?
