[Qgis-user] Text Annotations not on the canvas but in a separate layer

Hello Users of qGIS, I’m trying to make text balloons on the map, but I want to be able to switch them on and off, just like any layer. It looks like the text balloons I’m making all stick to the canvas itself. Any solution? Thanks very much in advance, Ron ter Hoeven
