it seems to me, that web client does not have the correct link to qgis
project, is doesnt load any layers,
therefore it is stuck in loading mode forever.
couldnt figure out correct link, though, all changes which I make lead to
the same result

I suppose, the problem must be in QGIS web client configuration, since
webserver runs just fine, but i cannot find it.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks,

Unfortunately I dont have rights to create new windows users. However, QGis
used to work fine on my computer before. The problems started after I
installed several another programs, like Mapnik, some python libraries etc.

currently it is C:\WINDOWS;C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM, perhaps pointing it to
C:\OSGEO4W would help?

Thanks, but I suspect this may be problem caused by windows, not QGis.
Perhaps incorrect settings, but so far no luck finding it

any data without .prj file attached will cause the crash, also clicling
"Project Properties" (with or without loaded data) will cause the trouble

I have following problem:
When I try to open project properties in QGis or set CRS of a layer, QGis
crashes. I use Windows 7.
This happens in QGis Desktop 1.8, development version 1.9.0.34 and also in
browser, when I try to set layer CRS.
Apart from this, everything works just fine - I can
