I took the liberty to add the "Entire Font Awesome Free repo"
to the directory of approved repositories for QGIS Resource
Sharing.
I installed the collection, and the QGIS Resource Sharing plugin
reported that 1601 SVG files were recognised in the collection.
The SVGs also showed

The SVGs are only 853kB compressed (1.15MB uncompressed (6.30MB on
disk)), so size shouldn't be a problem.
License: Honestly I stopped worrying about licenses year ago; I've
already wasted enough of my life dealing with licensing. :-) The Pro
version includes several thousand extra

that QGIS is used for any kind of work, I don't think embeding their SVG is
covered by the available plans. That would break their economic model
