Then export to KML and load your layer in Google Earth. The name of the
placemark should correspond to the one in your attribute.

I did not find the reference now, but if I recall right you need a field called
"name". Whatever is in this field will go to the KML file as name.

Is there any way to make that the ID field of the table become
the name field in the kml? Currently I get all points as "no name"
in GE (there is no field name in the kml). I have to edit the kml
by hand in GE.
Alternatively, is there any way to create this name field in a more
systematic way?
