plugin seems to take a series of steps and bundle them into one package ...
plus, laying out a zigzag or 'snake' flight route is a non-trivial,

A quick overview of their planning method doesn't show anything specific
to UAV. They made a regular sampling grid, connected them into a line,
exported a gpx for a gps. That can be done with stock QGIS. Especially
since the airphotos used in the planning were the OpenLayers plugin.

Really I think a great tool, but I have tried to communicate with
Airbornescientific, but with no reply from them. The user registry on the
website also fails.
You know if there is another tool of free or open source software that
allows the planning of flights, especially focused on UAV.
