I am trying to load a raster file containing rectangular cells into
QGIS. The header looks like this:

your project is in that projection.nbsp; Explore the default CSR options.

Thanks, for your answer. However, my project and my raster both have the
same projection (EPSG:32632 - WGS 84 / UTM zone 32N). With the CSR
options I cannot find anything that does not seem to be right.

The cells do still have a square shape.

Hi,
I meant to change the project crs to epsg 4326. Make sure you have on
the fly projection. When you do that, the cells become rectangular.
But I think there is something wrong with the file:
Change the header to this for a rectangular pixel. Should work. Save it
as .asc
