believe you have got the solution. I simplified the snapping
options as you suggested and things started operating normally
again. Thank you very much for that tip. I need to reread the

Aha, this may be it. I've never fully understood all the Snapping
options. And this is what might differ from my previous Adding Feature
sessions which have always worked well.
I'll try your suggestions and report back . . . .
