Hello all

Just installed QGIS 2.18.10 and wanted to check the graticule plots in
Polar stereographic (projected units metres) using Long-Lat lines in
WGS-84 (Geographic degrees).

(1) At a scale of 1:10,000,000 the latitude lines show very obvious
straight line segments and not a continuous curve (smooth circle);
Longitude lines appear fine

(2) At a scale of 1:2,000,000 the latitude lines become smooth-looking
on the plot in composer.

At a regional scale (10M +) are the latitude lines supposed to look
crude when overlaying WGS84 (Geographic) graticules on Polar plots?
The behaviour is somewhat scale-dependent.

One could generate a vector grid and densify, but this defeats the
object of having the graticule option in composer. Just an
observation.

Thanks
Lester
