I've installed QGIS 2.0.1 with Windows 7 and the first strange thing I
noted is that Style manager was empty. Then, I imported XML with
symbols from 1.8.0 but after closing QGIS2 and then opening it again,
style manager comes empty.
any hints?

I fixed the problem deleting qgis.db and symbology-ng-style.db from
C:\Users\myusername\.qgis2 folder and then restarting QGIS2.
Now it works.
