Subject: Re: [Qgis-user] River Flood modelling
Hi Nicolas,
If you don't get a reply here that solves your issue it may be worth asking on
the GRASS mailing list. I know GRASS has a lot of hydrographic tools and it's
integrated into QGIS so...

That looks interesting, Regis
Will be good to point them to MDAL, if you have any point of contact. If
they add suppport for their output in MDAL, their results can be easily
visualised in QGIS as a mesh.

Hi, another one,
http://hydra-software.net/
the qgis plugin helps a lot in creating the a correct mesh with 1D /2D
areas. The flood modeling algorithm is freeware, not open source (yet?).
I've been really impressed by the qgis plugin features and the accuracy in
territory segmentation it allows.
AnuGA results are now fully supported in QGIS 3.5 mesh layer. You can load
the SWW file directly.
In addition, you can look into HEC RAS, the 2-dimensional results can again
be loaded directly as a mesh layer in QGIS. There is also RiverGIS plugin
which helps you build your model.

Hi
Maybe you want to check out ANUGA too…. https://anuga.anu.edu.au

Hi,
I know it can't be that simple but I would like to model a river flood
in a mountainous area. I am looking for something like the Saga Lake
flood module with a LiDAR derived DEM, a seed but with the possibility
to add X amount of water. It's basically a lake and dam scenario and
