Hi, Is your file CRS in degrees and your triangle made to 3 points? If so, make the file in a layer that uses a CRS that uses meter, like a UTM zone 18, then densify the geometry. This will add points along the line of the triangle. There is a tool for that. Make sure the project CRS is the

In QGIS 2.18.0, when I rotate a rectangle, the shape changes. If it's a horizontal rectangle, when it's rotated vertical, the width is cut in half and it's twice as long. When it's rotated to an angle in between horizontal or vertical, the shape changes to a parellelogram. But if I rotate

I thought this specific case that Agus brought up would be quite rare in general geoprocessing, so it's good to see there is a procedure that can handle it, even tho' it's not a one-click GUI tools. yes of course, and also much more precise/selective :)

Yes, I was looking for an interactive tool, similar to the move feature. But the method using spatialite is very interesting, thanks for leting me know. I now have more or less a certain pattern of points with the centers of the aerial pictures to be acquired, and it would be easier just moving
