Thanks to both, but I'm still having trouble. I must be doing something wrong. These are the steps I took after reading the advice from both of you. I start by setting my project CRS. Then I click Layer, add layer, add vector layer. Then layer save as, and here I select the appropriate CRS.

Hi, Make sure you have projection on the fly activated.nbsp; Also, make sure the next option (something like what to do if a laker has no projection) is set to ask.nbsp; This way, if your projection is not specified, it will ask you instead of allocating a default or a project CRS. Right
