By using Add delimited text Layer I can use a csv point file very much like
if it was a shapefile.
I can also set the styles in the Properties/style pane but when I try to
save the style no .qml file is created. I get no error messages but no .qml
file either.
I have tested with several csv

in qml file. Can you explain your method to save the style ?

Perhaps it is a Windows-only issue?
I just realized that using the Save As Default button works well...?

What's happen when you click on save the style ? A window appears

But if i open the folder in a file manager or if I try to reload the qml in

Should be, just re-run your osgeo4w setup tool and in the advanced menu
