[Qgis-user] adding scalebar to map

hi all, a quick question regarding adding the scale bar to the qgis map, not in map composer. I have forgotten how to do so, there is still a way to add the scale bar to the map screen in lisboar 1.8 right? if so, how do i do it? thanks, ___
