Not sure. It works for me under qgis_trunk (compiled some weeks ago) using a
corine shapefile.

here's a qml with the legent of every class of CORINE according eea's
legend file.(attach1)
in your shape file, make a new attribute table, and name it(!) CODE_00
(!) and populate it with the codes without any dots. eg class 1.1.1
should become 111 at column CODE_00.
