BTW: nothing dirctly concerned with the problem, but I have found an interesting thing: As I have written, I have tested my program with Archive v2.30 and that worked. As this is a QL version, it writes the white menu border to $2, so not visible under QPC as long as there is no QL_SCREMU. So

Hi Tony, I remember this bug. 8-). Interesting to see, that now everybody seems to remember it. However I always used multiple new lines instead of FF, with an empty printer_dat.  I did _all_ my printer config in the Archive programs. Of course this works, but I find it a bit old-fashioned
