Neil, I did say that the Qubide needs soldering. I will send you the jpeg privately but if anyone else wants it please let me know.
This 'modification' comes from Croatia and is from the same source as he who designed the Qubide interface. It will be obvious that unless the Mod is done, the C/F adapters do not work. I know, I have tried because I have two Qubides and at one stage one was modified and one was not and I was trying to use the wrong one.
