This discussion raises a couple of questions in my mind.
a, Do the emmulators use the same interleave factor as on the QL, the
default, I think, was three, but could be altered in the definition block.
b, Whereas the PC (I did come by one of the originals) used none, writing
was as far as poss
I found on my disks extension called "atDOS_cde" (hope it's correct),
which adds superbasic keywords to read write Atari ST, MS DOS disks.
There are commands like ICOPY, ADIR... etc. Handy!

The point was that 'some chipsets/BIOSs' don't have DD support not that
only one had.

the QL, but cannot write or format on the PC(s).
