Oh B* !!! I've never actually tried to write to a directory channel - but DJ_OPEN_DIR uses the normal QDOS IO_OPEN trap with the correct setting for a directory. I must have a look into this at some point - Work, wife and QLTdis allowing :o) Looks like a disc editor is your best bet then :o
