I looked at the photo, and from your description it's a mixture
of a europen (german?) QL and an old JM (D-14 serial number, I'd
guess). The only reason I can see is an english buyer

It was maufactured by Samsung, has an unusual serial number (SG18-001668),
and was manufactured in October 1985 according to the "warranty seal" sticker.
It also has D-plug serial and CTL ports, and some differences
