Marcel ,
Thanks, I found the two files and more or less I
understood (!!!) what q40_flp_bas should do.
Now I also need Qmake, why not include in smsqe CD
source bundle also Qmac package ?

To my knowledge he didn't use QLINK but an own linker. But QLINK works
just fine, too.

Marcel,

Apologies, that was my fault. I managed to reply to an email which fitted
perfectly on my Outlook window and shows my standard sig block at the
bottom. I assumed that that was the end of my message and hit SEND.

Fabrizio,
I'm not intending to package the Quanta QMAC assembler package because I
think that is what Tony used/uses to assemble & link everything. The reason
being that it is still on sale by Quanta and is not open source/public
domain/free ware/etc.
I found a make file which apperas to use QM

Norman,
I was doing something similar, at least trying to do ,

Marcel,
what exactly are the CCT and CCTX files used for ?
All I can see is a list of files in a given directory (in a _REL format).

I am currently in the United States but when I am originally for Athens and
I suspect Quanta's QMAC - because one of the files is an error listing, and
mentions specifically the Quanta assembler.

And (sorry to spoil the fun) it might be a good idea to do this AFTER
having at least once compiled a working binary, then do those
*massive* changes to the files, compile it again and compare the
result!

Rich,
Your code was fine, it was just the font in the email client.
I opened the file in PFE editor using a non-proportional font and it is
completely readable.

Remember it's not only the include files. It's the _link, _cct, _cctx,
_bas and god knows what else.

Ok.
In case anyone else is about to attempt this exercise, I'll do it and get
the 'official' sources updated. I've already got a qxl.win file with the
correct names etc (rather than Tony's U$$ subdirectory).
I'll create one of the missing files as advised by Marcel the other day.

There are 997 files with include win1_ something.
I have an editor macro set up (in PFE) to replace the text "include 'win1_"
with "include 'dev8_"
Once I get this sorted out, I'll update Wolfgang's source with mine and I'll
do it in QXL format as well.
Any objections
