Hi Dilwyn, RFC = Request For Comment = a 'standard' for something or other. Say FTP is RFC 12345 (it's not !) then you can go onto the web somewhere and find said RFC document and read it. Byt the end of said document, you will know exactly what FTP is supposed to do. You might not understand it

Sorry Dilwyn, *.rc could also be a script or ini file read in by some Linux application which defines various options etc that the user has selected for their preferences. In the qascade_rc example you gave, this file probably holds your Quascade menu definitions. Try reading in it a text
