I've seen articles about the printer and graphics in old QL magazines,
but decided that it must be an unofficial facility as it wasn't in the
manual. Now I know better.

I only found out by an item (in QL World?) entitled roughly clever man
Robert Newson has kindly sent me an update to the Ser8056 thermal
printer manual, which covers the graphics mode it supports. So I have
updated the manuals on my website's QL documentation page.

One of my customers has reported a problem with Text 87 running under
QDOS Classic on Q40. Has anyone else had a problem ? I am a bit hazy
about what his problem is because he gave few details but he suggested
it crashed the machine. This could just be old scrambled screen problem
that we had
