Before anyone makes any decisions about a second QL2000 type event, I think that the Quanta committee should be informed directly. Early in 2002 myself, Roy, Bill and some other committee members discussed running another event at the Horizon centre to celebrate Quanta's 21st anniversary in 2004. We were all in agreement that, following the success of QL2000, it would be worth the effort and the finance. As I am no longer a committee member I have no way of knowing whether any further discussion has taken place or what, if anything, may have been decided. Should such an event still be under consideration, I would have thought that some arrangements would have been formalised by now as these things do need an awful lot of time and energy in their preparation.
