Great! The last thing I expected to have to do when I came into work today
was to deal with some asshole who thought it would be funny to fuck with
everyone using IE. Even funnier are the idiots who reply back to the same
post. Now that my client is pretty much fucked any suggestions on how I
you
have the ability? Are you going to punish them because of Microsoft? If
you say yes, then in my book you are a pathetic human being. Making
ignorant people suffer for their ignorance is not funny.

Hi,
Would someone mind shedding some light on the configuration of mrtg and
qmail-mrtg? I have been going over the short how-to on
http://x42.com/qmail/mrtg/ but it is rather vague and I am confused.
What I have gathered is that mrtg uses snmp for its statistics gathering.

A better approach wuld be to log everything and then use qmailanalog
to extract the failure and deferral details. The matchup program from
qmailanalog matches message details and can show complete deferral and
failure details.
Has anyone written a decent How-To for using qmailanalog?
Is oMail easier to modify than is Sqwebmail? There are some changes that I
would like to make to the interface but due to the compiled C and very
limited C skills it maybe a lost cause. I will actually be posting a
question about it but am not at home where all my notes are.

Have fun.
- could anyone walk me through the very basic steps for configuring
qmail with the following?
Your not asking much are you? Why don't you set it up then come back with
detailed questions concerning your problems.
Hi,
I am using qmail + vpopmail + sqwebmail.
I am trying to use separate templates for each virtual domain. In
httpd.conf I added SQWEBMAIL_TEMPLATEDIR
/usr/local/share/sqwebmail/virtual.dom to the VirtualHost configuration.
I then copied the templates from sqwebmail/html/en to
I do have SetEnv in front of SQWEBMAIL_TEMPLATEDIR. I forgot to put it in
the email.

Hi,
Would someone point me to a decent resource on implementing SSL? I would
plan on using it with qmail + vpopmail + sqwebmail.
Thanks

Has anyone successfully implemented Frederik Vermeulen's patch to QMail for
SSL? Will this patch allow a Mail Client to connect to QMail popd w/ a
secure connection? Are there any other SSL solutions for QMail?

cd /var/qmail/users
/var/qmail/bin/qmail-pw2u /etc/passwd assign
The qmail-pw2u man page is worth reading :)
And it can make your head spin. I spent quite along time last night reading
the man pages for qmail-(pw2u, getpw, newu) along with several searches on
list archives. Finally
That's pretty much it.
Great, and it only took me 3 hours to figure that out :)
If users/assign exists, will qmail-local start to use it automagically?
Thanks for that Makefile, I did not realize that Makefiles don't have to be
used with complex programs. Another book to add to the library.
What is this? Something like 6 emails today asking the
same questions about qmail and MySQL? Time to start creating more mail
filters.

Have you set the proper ownership of the directories
$cd /home/user
$ls -l Maildir
If Maildir is not owned by the user then:
$chown user.group -R Maildir

Where do I begin? Asking the qmail discussion list for help on legitimate

.qmail files for EVERY address
@virtualdomain.com, but do not put a .qmail-default file.
What would the naming format and contents of those .qmail filez be? If its
in the docs then RTFM works for me :)
Qmail does not deliver mail to root, therefore you need to
make sure you have setup the qmail aliase file for root. I would recommend
testing using another user.
You need to set up a POP server to work with qmail. None
is installed by default.

How do I do that? I cannot use my domain, because
I will not receive e-mail until qmail is ok. Besides that, why can't I use IP
numbers?

Speaking of flounder.net...
I am not sure if this problem is due to the operating system (Redhat 6.2),
something missing in the script, or a lack of understanding on my part but
I had an issue with the '/init.d/svscan' script from flounder.net.
I found that when running '/init.d/svscan start',
So it wasn't just me :) Was that the change you made in your config script?
Are there any other changes that I should make to my config scripts? So far
I haven't found any other problems.

My apologies. I should have included the original code in my email. The
method you suggested is the method employed in the script on Adam's page.
Unfortunately, svscan is not behaving the way the documentation says that it
should.
You can test this by executing 'svscan /service' from the
