? Where is this script? I've searched the archives
and while there's plenty of talk about the big-todo patch, nobody ever
mentions exactly what they did to apply it. Thanks a bunch.

Greetings,
I am looking for instructions on applying big-todo patch. It’s just a test server so I don need
to worry about the existing queue. Would appreciate if some could help me or
send me the link, which points to the instructions.
Thanks

doh, meant to send this to the list instead of just to russ :)
disclaimer: some of what i'm talking about may be slightly off.
if i'm not mistaken, the point of the big-todo patch is to keep the
individual queue directories from containing a huge amount of files. the

Yes, but I don't have the numbers anymore. I provisioned two 486/66
Linux machines, one with and the other without. The one with got
through a 10,000 todo queue
Does anyone have any empirical evidence that the Big Todo patch actually
improves performance?
I tried a few tests, and didn't seem to find any difference in performance
between stock qmail and one that was patched.
One test included shutting down qmail, putting 5,000 messages (to

Yeah, I use that patch and it seems to work fine for me. Let me know if you
have any problems.

HI,
just wondering if, after I applied the big-todo patch, I can still use the
queue-fix program?
Franky
Hi, My todo directory has grown to around 7000 files and I am
considering using the big-todo patch. I have never used it
Do I just stop qmail, apply the patch and reinstall or do I have to
munge the queue. If I have to munge the queue, what is the magic
incantation to keep exisiting messages
e shouldn't be any todo/117188 with the big-todo patch.
One of the main things it does is subdivided the todo/ directory.

I just installed the big-todo patch on one of my servers, and am running a
mailing of around 350k names. I am frequently getting the following error:
find: cannot open queue/todo/117188: No such file or directory
find: cannot open queue/todo/117514: No such file or directory
