Maildir format mailbox

Hi I'm trying to use the qmail-imap package from ftp://ftp.engr.uark.edu/pub/qmail/qmail-imap/ I encounted some problem, I can't creat a Maildir (cur,new,tmp) format mailbox from the client side, after I creat a new folder from the netscape, I just got a plain text file unde my home
