Hi again, sv:123456:respawn:env - \ PATH=/usr/local/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin:/bin svscan /service </dev/null > /dev/console 2>/dev/console I made the change to one line, but no results. The error message is id field too long. I don't know if this is qmail related, but the man inittab won't help me. The id field, is as far as I understand the inittab the "sv" field, and this could be as long as four characters, no matter what the value is (numbers or letters). So, what's my problem with this? qmail? Thanks Tom
