Error. MAILTMP not set (or something like that)
Did you ever hear about the difference between environment variables and
shell variables?
You need to do
export MAILDIR
export MAIL
export MAILTMP

When running maildir2mbox it complains the MAILTMP is not set. It
is! Seems like a bug.
e.g.
MAILDIR=$HOME/Maildir/
