Trying to get going a "pop toaster" as djb calls them, and having all
kinds of problems with qmail-pop3d and djb's checkpassword. Authentication
will be against NIS, and the passwords are currently using md5 hash.
Even an "old" style 12 bit passwd through NIS will not work properly
with my checkpassword setup. I thought the getpwnam() would work properly
with it, but I guess not, or maybe I need to link in some proper libs?
I search to no avail all archives on this matter. I see that djb running
openbsd 2.6 also, so surely must be possible. If anyone has run into
this and could offer some assistance or pointers, please do, it would
be much appreciated.
